Brand positioning for SaaS, on one page in three days.
Brand positioning for SaaS is one sentence your whole company can stand on: who the product is for, what it replaces and why it wins, backed by three or four proof points. I write it on one page in the first 3 days of every brand project, before any design, and you approve it before I draw a single mark. Built for CEOs, founders and marketing leads at B2B tech companies.

What the one-page positioning holds.
One page, so it gets read, remembered and used. Everything after it, from the logo to the homepage, is checked against it.
- Who buys and who uses, in their own words
- The problem they put up with today
- The one-sentence position
- Three or four proof pillars
- What the category does that you will not
- The line sales repeats after every call
The one-page positioning, field by field.
| The question | Real example | |
|---|---|---|
| For whom | Who buys, and who uses? | Underdog: independent sports trainers, and the parents who book them |
| The problem | What do they put up with today? | Underdog: running a real business on spreadsheets, Venmo and DMs |
| The position | One sentence you can stand on | “Underdog gives independent sports trainers the tools big clubs always had.” |
| Proof pillars | Three or four things that make it true | Deepsea: field-led, straight, accountable, human |
| The enemy | What the category does that you will not | Deepsea: server rooms, glowing globes and adjectives with nothing behind them |
| The line sales says | What a buyer repeats after the call | Polaris: clear direction for business growth |
Position lines that became whole brands.
Each one was written in the first days of the project and then drove the mark, the colour and the copy.
Underdog
“The tools big clubs always had.” The mark became speed lines landing as one solid U: from overlooked to undeniable.
Offline navigation appTrackaroo
“Keeps you oriented when the signal is gone.” The website drops from 4G to no service as you scroll.
Offshore telecomDeepsea Networks
“Built by people who have worked out there.” Real crews and sea states instead of server rooms.

Direction as the one idea: six forms around a central star, and headlines partners can say out loud.
B2B AI softwareBreach
“Break Through Complexity.” A geometric B built to break, and two lines sales can repeat.

Four modules, one AI colleague that runs hiring in the background. The symbol locks them together.
Why positioning comes before the logo.
A logo cannot fix a fuzzy position. If the team cannot agree on one sentence, every design round turns into a debate about taste. When the sentence is approved first, design decisions get easy: the mark either carries the idea or it does not.
SaaS has a second reason. ChatGPT and Google summarise your product from what you publish. A clear position, written as plain facts, is what they repeat to buyers. That is why positioning is the first layer of a Brand OS, and why the voice that follows is built on rules: see brand voice examples. The full service is brand strategy.
Positions you can see in the work.
“It was never really about creating one logo. It was about building something strong enough to grow with the company.” Pierre-Marc Noël, Deepsea Networks
Days 1-3, step by step.
Then design starts on day 4, from an approved sentence.

Five competitors side by side: what they all say, and the gap.
Write one page
The position, the pillars and the line sales says. You approve or push back.
Design from it
Mark, colour and copy, each checked against the page.
Tell me about your brand. Get a plan in a minute.
Three taps, then my plan for you: the package, the days and what you get. If it fits, I write a fixed-price proposal in 2-8 hours. One field at the end, email or WhatsApp. Nothing is binding.
Before you decide: the free Position Check compares your site with competitors, and AI Mirror shows what ChatGPT says about you today.
A positioning deck, next to a one-page position.
| 60-slide deck | One page | |

| Design | Starts from taste | Starts from a sentence |

Straight answers.
What is brand positioning for a SaaS company?
The one sentence that says who the product is for, what it replaces and why it wins, plus the proof that makes it true.
Can positioning really be done in 3 days?
For one company with one product, yes, when the founders are available on day 1 and day 3. The work is in the questions and the cuts, not in the length of the document.
Positioning or messaging, what is the difference?
Positioning is the sentence you stand on. Messaging is everything written from it: headlines, the homepage, the deck. See brand strategy.
Can I buy positioning on its own?
Yes, as brand strategy. Most clients take it as the first days of a full brand: see what a visual identity system includes.
How do I know my position is weak?
If your homepage could swap logos with a competitor and nobody would notice. The free Position Check shows it.

Proposal in 2-8 hours. Or 15 minutes on a call, and if it's not a fit, I'll tell you.
