Seconds 0-3
The news
One line, big. "[Product] now supports [thing]." "[Name] joins as [role]." If it needs two lines, cut it.
A good LinkedIn announcement video is one line of news, moving words, and your logo at the end.
Free: your brand in 3 real designs, in 48 hours.
A short animated announcement video for LinkedIn has three parts. Part one is the news in one line. Part two is one fact that makes it real. Part three is your logo and where to read more.
Aim for about 10 seconds. Put the words on the screen, because many people scroll with the sound off. Use your brand colours, fonts and logo every time, so people know it is you before they read a word.
News is easy to bury. Keep it short and the right person sees it.
Seconds 0-3
One line, big. "[Product] now supports [thing]." "[Name] joins as [role]." If it needs two lines, cut it.
Seconds 3-8
One proof point that makes the news real. A customer, a date, a result you may say out loud.
Seconds 8-10
Your logo, then a short line: where to read more or who to talk to.
Not sure which facts you may use? Keep a short list of approved facts. See what to include in brand guidelines. For the words themselves, borrow from B2B LinkedIn post templates.
Fill in the brackets. Read it out loud. If you run out of breath, it is too long.
LINE 1 (the news, 3 to 7 words): [Name] joins [Company] as [role] LINE 2 (one fact, up to 10 words): [One true sentence about why it matters] LINE 3 (the ending, up to 6 words): [Logo] + [Read more: link or name] POST TEXT (under the video): [One sentence of context.] [One sentence about what it means for the customer.] [Link or question.] CHECK: every fact is on the approved list. Names are spelled right. The logo is the right version.
Short lines work well in video. The same rule is in brand voice guidelines: one idea, plain words, no hype.

These work because the news is small and clear.
| News | Line 1 (example) | Line 2 (fill in) |
|---|---|---|
| New hire | [Name] joins as [role] | What this person will do for customers |
| New feature | [Feature] is live | The one problem it solves |
| New customer | Welcome, [Customer] | What you will do together (with their OK) |
| Event | See us at [Event] | Date and place |
| Award or review | [Award] for [thing] | Who gave it |
| New site or brand | New [thing] is live | What is better for the reader |
Just examples. Use your own approved facts.

This is the question I see founders ask most. They have the news. They do not have a motion designer on call.
The old way is slow. You ask a designer. You wait. You ask again for the story size. The news is old by the time the video is ready.
The better way is a ready-made motion design that already has your brand in it. You type your line, pick how the words appear, and download the video. The design stays right because the colours, fonts and logo are locked.
That is what Motion Posts does inside a Brand OS Portal. You pick a design I made for your brand, type one line, and choose rise, word by word or typed. You get a video for feed, square or story.
A designer is still the right call for a new brand identity or a film with a story. For the weekly news after that, the portal is faster. Read how this works for teams in brand templates for teams.
Tick each line. Your ticks stay on this device.

About 10 seconds is a good target for news. One line, one fact, then your logo. If you need more, make it a second post.
No. Many people watch with the sound off, so put the words on the screen and make sure it makes sense without audio.
Feed, square and story are the common shapes. Pick the one that fits where you post. Check the platform help page before you lock a size.
Yes. Use a ready-made motion design that already has your brand in it, type your line, and download the video. That is what Motion Posts does in a Brand OS Portal.
Small, clear news: a new hire, a feature, a customer, an event, an award or a new site. Big stories need more room than 10 seconds.
