Step 1
Approve the system, not each deck
Review layouts and the fact list once. Reps work inside them.
Lock the brand, open the story. Reps change the words and the proof, and the design stays right without an approval queue.
Free: your brand in 3 real designs, in 48 hours.
To let every sales rep edit a deck without breaking the brand, lock the parts that must not change (logo, fonts, colours, layouts) and open the parts reps need (headline, customer name, proof, ask). Then give reps a one-page guide.
Avoid sending every deck for approval. That just moves the bottleneck from design to review. Lock the design, approve the facts once, and let reps move.
Reps need a deck for each call. They cannot wait for a designer, so they copy and change.
A rep opens last quarter deck, deletes some slides, adds a customer logo, and changes some numbers. The next rep does the same with a different file. After six months there are 30 versions and none match.
Non-designers go off brand even with templates, because a template that allows everything lets people change everything. Fix this by deciding what can change. For templates in general, see brand templates for teams.

Use this table as your starting point.
| Lock (nobody changes) | Open (reps change) |
|---|---|
| Logo files and position | Customer name and logo (from a shared folder) |
| Fonts, sizes and colours | Headline wording on story slides |
| Slide layouts and margins | Proof: case, quote or number from the approved list |
| Product names and key claims | The ask and next step |
| Chart style | Chart numbers |
Keep the approved list of facts short and current. A rep who needs a new claim asks one named person. For the base deck, start with the on-brand sales deck template.

Send it with the deck. One page is enough.
Sales deck guide for reps START: open the deck from [link], never from an old email. CHANGE: customer name and logo, the headline on slides [numbers], the proof slide, the ask. DO NOT CHANGE: logo, fonts, colours, layouts, product names, chart style. PROOF: pick from the approved list at [link]. Need a new claim? Ask [name]. Answer within one working day. BEFORE SENDING: run the checks at [link]. Export as PDF. Name the file [Customer] - [Company] - [date]. LOST? Ask [name] at [email].
Leave your email. I design them by hand and send them to you within 48 hours. It costs you nothing.

"Approvals become the new bottleneck" is a real worry. Here is how to prevent it.
Step 1
Review layouts and the fact list once. Reps work inside them.
Step 2
Anything that follows the guide needs no review. New claims go to the owner.
Step 3
Sample five decks a month. Fix the guide where reps get stuck. See brand governance for startups.
The same idea works for posts. Read employee advocacy on LinkedIn for the social side.
A guide helps. A tool that holds the rules helps more.
In a Brand OS Portal, Pitch Deck Builder lets a rep tell the story of a call and get the slides, one by one, in the brand. The logo, colours and fonts are already right. Reps do not wait for a designer for each customer deck.
At MTG the team makes its own posts in a Brand OS Pro Portal. At Deepsea Networks the CEO writes and designs an on-brand LinkedIn post in about 3 minutes. The same idea can support sales material. A designer is still the right call for strategy and a new identity.
