Cause 1
No design system
Without one, you get a clean but general look. It works, but it is not yours.
Claude Design follows the brand you give it. Here is what to upload, how to test it and what to fix.
Claude Design is a tool from Anthropic Labs for making slides, one-pagers and prototypes with Claude. It launched on 17 April 2026. To keep it on brand, set up a design system first: upload your logo, colours, fonts and real finished examples, and Claude turns them into rules for every new project.
Then test it with five real jobs, fix what drifts, and publish it as your default. The steps and the checklist below cover each part.
Claude Design is a tool where you tell Claude what you need and it makes the visual: a slide deck, a one-pager, a landing page or a prototype. You can start from a short text, from files, or from your website.
You fix things by pointing at them. You can comment on one part, edit the text yourself, or change spacing and colour with simple controls. Then you export to PDF, PowerPoint, Canva or HTML.
The brand part is the design system. You upload your brand files once. Claude pulls out your colours, type and parts, and every new project uses them. Checked on 4 November 2026 on anthropic.com and support.claude.com. It comes with paid Claude plans.

Almost every off-brand result has one of these six causes.
Cause 1
Without one, you get a clean but general look. It works, but it is not yours.
Cause 2
Colour codes alone do not show how the brand feels. Claude has to guess the rest.
Cause 3
A real landing page or deck shows spacing, size and mood better than any rule.
Cause 4
An old logo or an old deck in the upload comes back in every project.
Cause 5
The design can be right while the headline says things you never say.
Cause 6
Many people edit the design system and nobody owns it.

One good source is enough to start. More good sources give better results.
| Upload | What Claude Design learns | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| Logo files (SVG, PNG) | Your mark and its versions | Colour, white and black. Delete old versions first. |
| Colours with HEX codes | Your palette | Say which colour is main, which is accent, which is text. |
| Font files or names | Your type | Add the sizes you use for headlines and body text. |
| A finished landing page or deck | Spacing, layout and mood | Pick your best real work, not a draft. |
| Brand guidelines PDF | Rules and do's and don'ts | A short, clear PDF beats a long one. |
| Codebase or component library | Real buttons, cards and parts | Useful for product and web work. |
Checked on 4 November 2026 on support.claude.com: Anthropic says real finished examples tell Claude more about your brand than a colour palette alone.

Leave your email. I design them by hand and send them to you within 48 hours. It costs you nothing.
I write to you from [email protected]. If you do not see it, check spam.
Open a test project and run these. Compare each result with your best real work.
1. Make a one-page product sheet for [product]. Headline, 3 benefits, one call to action. 2. Make a 6-slide sales deck: problem, cost, our way, proof, how it works, next step. 3. Make a LinkedIn post image that says: "[one real line from your brand]". 4. Make a landing page hero for [product] with one headline, one line of text and one button. 5. Make the same one-pager on a dark background. For each result, check: right logo, right colours, right fonts, enough empty space, text easy to read, nothing you would never publish.

When a test fails, open the design system, use Remix and paste a note like this. Then run the tests again.

Yes. You can upload a guidelines PDF, a deck, logo files, colours, fonts and real examples. Claude builds a design system from them.
Yes. You can keep several, for example one per brand, and choose one as the default for new projects.
I would not. A logo needs to be drawn, tested and owned. Design it by hand, then give Claude Design the finished files. See wordmark logo design.
Most often there is no design system, or it was built from a palette alone. Add your best finished work and a short rules note.
