A startup press kit is one public page with your company boilerplate, key facts, logos, founder photos and bios, product screenshots, recent news and a press contact.
Keep the facts short and dated, give logos in colour, white and black, and put it at an easy address like yoursite.com/press. The same page helps partners and AI tools describe you right.
Nine parts. Most startups need all of them on one page.
Part 1
A short paragraph about the company. Journalists paste it as written.
Part 2
Founded, where, founders, team size, customers or funding you can share. With a date.
Part 3
Colour, white and black, in SVG and PNG, with the clear space rule.
Part 4
High-resolution photos and a short bio for each founder.
Part 5
Three to six clean screenshots at a good size, with a caption each.
Part 6
HEX codes, so designers get your colours right.
Part 7
Recent press releases and coverage, newest first.
Part 8
One or two founder quotes journalists may use.
Part 9
A name and email that someone answers.

Write it once. Use the same text in the press kit, on LinkedIn and in your llms.txt.
About [Company] [Company] [makes what] for [who]. [One sentence on the problem it solves and how.] Founded in [year] by [founder names], [Company] is based in [city, country] and works with [type of customers] in [markets]. Learn more at [website]. Fact sheet (updated [date]) - Founded: [year], [city] - Founders: [name, role], [name, role] - Team: [number] people - Product: [one line] - Customers: [number or named customers you may share] - Funding: [only what is public, or leave out] - Press contact: [name], [email] Approved quote "[One or two sentences from the founder on why the company exists.]" - [name], [role], [Company]
Put the same facts in your llms.txt file and on a facts page. My own facts page is an example.
Leave your email. I design them by hand and send them to you within 48 hours. It costs you nothing.
I write to you from [email protected]. If you do not see it, check spam.
Journalists are busy. Make the right file the easy one.

People often use both words for the same page. Some use "media kit" for advertising rates and audience numbers. For a startup, a press kit is about the company story, facts and files.
