How to choose a B2B web design agency: 10 questions to ask

Choose a B2B web design agency by the sites it built for companies like yours, who designs and who builds, a fixed timeline and price, and whether your team can edit the site after launch. The 10 questions below settle most of it on the first call.

I am Vedran from Vizura Studio. I design brands and websites for B2B tech teams, in Framer or code. Here is how I would choose an agency if I were in your seat.

What a B2B website has to do

A B2B buyer on your site looks for three answers: do you work with companies like mine, is there proof, and what is the next step. A good site answers all three in a few seconds.

So the site needs:

  • A headline that says what you do and for whom.
  • Cases or numbers as proof.
  • One clear action in every section.
  • Speed on a phone.
  • An SEO base: titles, descriptions and the right language versions.
  • A structure AI tools like ChatGPT can read and quote.

10 questions to ask

  1. Can you show me 3 sites for B2B companies? Open them on your phone during the call.
  2. Who designs and who builds? If they are different people, ask how the handoff works.
  3. What do you build on? Framer, Webflow, WordPress or code. Ask why that one fits you.
  4. Can my team edit text and images? If not, you will pay for every small change.
  5. How long does it take? Ask for weeks and steps.
  6. Is the price fixed? And what is in it: pages, copy, images, languages.
  7. Who writes the copy? A nice design with weak words does not sell.
  8. How do you handle SEO? Ask about titles, speed, sitemap and hreflang.
  9. What happens after launch? Updates, security, changes.
  10. Who owns the domain and the accounts? They must be in your name.

Red flags

  • A template half the market uses, with your logo on top.
  • No written scope or timeline.
  • The domain or hosting in the agency's name.
  • Nobody asks who your buyers are.
  • Their own example sites are slow on a phone.

How I do it

  • Timeline: with a brand, I build the site in Full Launch: brand and website in 21 days.
  • Tool: Framer as standard, code when needed. Your team edits text and images.
  • SEO and AI search: titles, descriptions, speed and language versions from day one.
  • One person: I design and build, so nothing gets lost between people.
  • Price: one fixed price in writing, within 2 to 8 hours after a 15-minute call.

FAQ

How long does a B2B website take? For a site with 5 to 10 pages, usually a few weeks. With me, brand and website together take 21 days.

Is Framer good for B2B websites? Yes, for most B2B teams. It is fast, your team can edit it, and the design stays exact.

Should I redo the brand before the website? If the brand is weak or unclear, yes. A new site on an old brand often looks new for a month.

Can a European studio work for a US company? Yes. Many US and UK SaaS teams do. Check time zones, language and how fast they reply.
